There are two ways to add a bullet point to a cell in Google Sheets

  • Using Shortcut
  • Using Formula

Steps to insert bullets points in Google sheets using shortcut:

  1. Open Google sheets:

  1. Now, on the selected cell  hold ALT key and press 7 on the numeric keypad(On PC)

For Mac Hold the OPTION key and press 8

Follow with CONTROL + OPTION + ENTER to insert a line break:

You can also click Alt+Enter and have multiple points in a cell

Steps to insert bullets points in Google sheets using Formula:

You can use CHAR formula to insert a bullet point because CHAR formula returns the character specified by the number

  1. On a cell type the fo;owing formula and press enter:
