How To Refresh Gmail

Gmail is one of the largest email service providers in the world. There are more than 1.5 billion people who are using Gmail as their email service provider. The platform offers its users multiple features that benefit them.

Gmail has separate sections for each type of email you receive and offers you to organize them easily. This reduces the hassle of going through all the emails to find one specific one. Also, it offers a lucrative search option that will instantly search thousands of mail in your mailbox and will provide you with results in a few seconds.

One of the best features of having a Gmail account is that we can connect to all the other Google services and get notified in an instant. It is an awesome tool that enhances our performance.

In this post, we will see how to refresh your Gmail in easy steps.

Refreshing Gmail In Computer

In recent years and updates, Gmail has included a semi-auto-update that automatically shows if any new emails are delivered to your account. So, it basically eliminates the need to refresh your Gmail account.

However, in rare cases, it might require you to refresh them manually. Let us see how to refresh them manually.

Method 1:

Though Gmail doesn’t require refresh as it already notifies you when a new email arrives in real-time, it has included a refresh button as a safety measure. Note that when new emails arrive, they will have a red button written NEW in them. This notifies you that they haven’t shown or existed in your inbox before.

Now, go to the top left corner of the screen, where you can find the round arrow below the search box. Click on the round arrow, which will reload the emails that you have received and will notify you if there are any new emails received in the meantime.

Method 2:

The second method you could use to refresh your Gmail is an old trick. What do we do when a webpage isn’t loading properly or is unresponsive? We reload them to show the latest details that are available on the webpage.

We are going to do the same with our Gmail page. Go to the top left corner. This time, we are not going to the webpage refresh button instead of the in-built Gmail’s refresh key. Hit the round arrow, which refreshes the whole webpage.

When the in-built refresh button fails to reload, this will work for sure until you have a stable internet connection.

Refreshing Gmail On Mobile Phone

Mostly, Gmail in your mobile phone app won’t refresh or update itself as it updates itself on a computer webpage. Let us say that if you are using your Gmail app after a week, you won’t be able to see the new emails you received unless you have to refresh it.

However, refreshing your mobile phone is an easy task. Go to the Gmail app and pull the swipe down. It will refresh your Gmail and shows you new emails.
