Email Archive
Email Archive is an add-on for Gmail letting you:
- Export your emails to Google Drive.
Data access
When you install Email Archive on your Google account, You will be prompted to authorize different accesses. Those authorizations will only be used to perform the service you are requesting from the add-on you have installed.
Why does Email Archive need access to those scopes?
Google Drive Access:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly:
- Provides read access to the current spreadsheet only, rather than the entire Sheets account.
- Limits the addon’s access to the currently active spreadsheet.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive:
- Grants full access to Google Drive API.
- Enables the addon to create, read, update, and delete files and folders in Google Drive.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.addons.metadata.readonly:
- Provides read-only access to metadata of Google Drive files created or modified by the addon.
- Allows the addon to retrieve information about files it has interacted with.
Gmail Access:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.labels:
- Provides access to Gmail labels.
- Allows the addon to read, create, modify, and delete labels within Gmail.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly:
- Grants read-only access to Gmail API.
- Allows the addon to read the user’s email messages and metadata.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify:
- Provides read and write access to Gmail API.
- Allows the addon to read, modify, and delete the user’s email messages and metadata.
Google Sheet Access:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets:
- Grants read and write access to Google Sheets API.
- Allows the addon to create, edit, and retrieve data from Google Sheets.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly:
- Provides read access to the current spreadsheet only, rather than the entire Sheets account.
- Limits the addon’s access to the currently active spreadsheet.
External Service:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request:
- Allows the addon to make external requests to access external APIs or services.
- Enables integration with third-party services or data sources.
Send Email:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.send_mail:
- Grants permission to send emails using the Mail service in Google Apps Script.
- Enables the addon to send emails on behalf of the user.
Data Storage
Data we store:
Your Google account email id, to identify you as a Email Archive user.
- Your credentials are stored in firebase till the time the operation gets completed.
Data we do NOT store:
Any information regarding your folders structure
Your Google Drive files
- Your emails.
The reports with your folders content
