Most Google accounts come with a set or default currency in them, which only a very few people know how to check and change. How to set the default currency for all sheets in Google sheets?
Step 1. Click the Gmail application open on your device.
Step 2. Click on the Settings icon present at the top right part of the window.
Step 3. From the drop-down menu, click the See All Settings option.
Step 4. Choose the Accounts section from the options that appear.
Step 5. Click on the Google Account Settings option that appears in the drop-down menu.
Step 6. Click on the Personal Info option of the Google account.
Step 7. Scroll down and find the General preference for the web option.
Step 8. Click on the Language option.
Step 9. A dialogue box appears with the present default language in it.
Step 10. Click on the Edit icon next to the current default language to reveal the language options.
Step 11. From the language list that appears, choose the locale language or the required language of the user and click on the Select option that appears at the bottom of the list.
Now that the default language is set, the default currency for all the Google services will also be the corresponding currency.
How to change the default currency for a single Google sheet?
Step 1. Open the Google sheets application on your device.
Step 2. Click on the File option on the top menu bar.
Step 3. Click on the Settings option from the drop-down menu.
Step 4. From the dialogue box that appears, click on the Locale section where the default language will be mentioned.
Step 5. Change the language as required and click on the Save Settings option present at the bottom of the box.
Now the chosen language and the corresponding currency will act as the default ones for the particular Google sheet.
How to check the default currency in Google sheets?
Step 1. Open the Google sheets application on the device.
Step 2. Click on the Format option that appears in the top menu bar.
Step 3. From the drop-down menu, click on the Number option.
Step 4. Check the currency symbol present in the options that appear. The default currency symbol will be present in the options. That is if the default currency is US Dollar, the symbol for that will be present next to the options in it. The user can check the default currency this way and make necessary changes if found required.
